Rick Stanchi

General Manager

Understanding the landscape and requirements, paying attention to detail -- doing things exceptionally well the first time.

Having served on both sides of the provider and client service relationship during critical National Events and mission critical activities, in addition to several years in commercial industry, Rick excels at taking ownership of a situation - often exceeding the expected - and ensuring a safe and desired solution. As General Manager, Rick provides full spectrum logistics services, planning, and material management to U.S. Army, Air Force and NASA clients as well as aircraft, equipment maintenance, and airfield support services. He previously served as the Director of Operations for Truestone providing DoD, USCG, and civilian federal government clients IT Systems Development and Integration, Mission Operations, and Training service solutions and expertise. Prior to working for the Akima family of companies, Rick was the COO of a private equity firm focused on international oil and gas projects in addition to leading a Part 145 jet charter operation. Rick launched his professional work career in the U.S. Coast Guard as a shipboard officer conducting counter-narcotics activities in the Caribbean later becoming part of the Coast Guard’s first cadre of HH-60J helicopter ground and flight procedures developers, and as a flight examiner. In addition to having Alaska aviation command, he served as the air boss for the largest counter-drug and counter-migrant operation in USCG history, led a strategic international initiative and was the Coast Guard chief of response and search and rescue for the Alaskan maritime and the North Pacific where he received recognition for having the best Command and Response Center in the Coast Guard. Rick holds an EMBA from George Mason University (Honors Graduate) with residencies at Oxford University and in Asia, a BS in Government from the United States Coast Guard Academy and completed Naval Flight training as the top Pilot graduate in his class.
